253 students enrol into KUPU SB

Some 253 students began their enrolment into Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) yesterday.

The 14th intake’s Ta’aruf Week (orientation week) is at the National Service Programme (PKBN) Training Camp in Batu Apoi, Temburong District.

Conducted by the Student Affairs Section of KUPU SB in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS), the new students will be pursuing Degree in Religious Teaching and Higher National Diploma in Religious Teaching.

Throughout the four-day orientation, students will be attending briefings by faculty deans, director and section heads.

Other activities included night Tazkirah (religious talk), mass prayers and recitations of Al-Quran, Surah Yaasiin and Ratib Al-Attas.

Zakirah binti Sulaiman enrolled at KUPU SB after completing her studies at the Hassanal Bolkiah Arabic Boys Secondary School. She had her eyes on studying at KUPU SB with the support of her family that has been encouraging her to follow her dreams to be
an educator.

Fellow student Mohamad Amin bin Serfudin who completed his studies in Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College has been keen on enrolling at KUPU SB as he wishes to deepen his knowledge. The fourth child of six siblings is the only one to have an interest in enrolling at a religious college university.

These students will conclude their orientation on Thursday and will begin their studies at KUPU SB on August 3.
