The Progresif Women Future Academy (WFA) celebrated the course completion of its first six participants at the Progresif Headquarters on June 24.
The 18-session masterclass and workshop was delivered by Certified Life Coach and Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming Lisa binti Ibrahim and aimed at connecting women with big life and career ambitions to the tools and guidance needed to succeed, a press release stated.
The Progresif WFA was designed to help women identify their strengths, set smart goals and gain effective strategies to pursue them. Given that the six initial participants were entrepreneurs with their sights set on growth, Lisa aimed to help them transform challenges into possibilities with emphasis on gaining clarity, focus and taking action.
The initiative comes in the wake of Progresif’s launch of the Progresif Minds educational platform last year, and forms part of a larger CSR-driven commitment to support education and entrepreneurship in Brunei.
The initiative was formed in partnership with local women empowerment initiative under Big BWN Project Womennovation Brunei. The Progresif WFA enlisted Lisa to lead the participants as she has more than 20 years of experience running companies as well as numerous entrepreneurial ventures and has now embarked into her coaching career.
Lisa said, “They started excited, hopeful and motivated, all the ingredients necessary to make them ideals candidates for this programme. Sharing their journeys and business hopes with each other, what began as six strangers became a community of empowered women driving towards shared goals. We touched on self-awareness, confidence and a range of business tools to help them to level-up their businesses and I can’t wait to see what they go on to achieve.”
Progresif’s Head of Brand Strategy Hafiza binti Mohamad said, “As a company dedicated to reinvesting in the community, Progresif has always made every effort to support innovative, new initiatives that aim to create positive outcomes for society. With entrepreneurship as one of our four key CSR pillars (alongside environment, arts and culture, and education), supporting the life and career development of women in Brunei is a more than worthy cause to get behind.”
