Witnessing a wedding ceremony via Zoom during MCO

KUANTAN (Sin Chew Daily) – Weddings held during the enforcement of Movement Control Order (MCO) to curb the spread of COVID-19 can be very simple. Friends and relatives are invited to attend the wedding over teleconferencing software Zoom.

A couple was keen to hold a wedding reception during the MCO. After three days of planning, they decided to invite relatives and friends to the wedding over Zoom.

Shen Yu Wei and Liao Min Tong, both primary school teachers, tied the knot on June 6.

Liao’s mother Huang Jing Hui told Sin Chew Daily her second daughter’s wedding was held according to Chinese traditions despite friends and relatives unable to attend the wedding in person.
