The Singapore Islamic Religious Council (MUIS) announced its decision to suspend Haj pilgrimage plans for 900 pilgrims recently which raised a question on whether the Ministry of Health has held discussions with the Ministry of Religious Affairs regarding Brunei’s Haj pilgrims, during a press conference at the Al-’Afiah Hall yesterday.

In response, Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar said the Brunei Islamic Religious Council (MUIB) will take a decision on this matter while it is currently under consultation.

“Insya Allah, in the near future if there is any further consultation with members of MUIB with the Ministry of Health, and with any decision made, it will be announced as soon as possible,” added the minister.
