Services of outgoing envoys praised

Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Brunei Darussalam Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashel bin Rashde bin Hashel Al-Maskari congratulated the departing envoys for their successful tenures.

He made these comments when the Diplomatic Corps hosted a farewell dinner in honour of the outgoing heads of diplomatic missions at the Indera Kayangan Ballroom of The Empire Brunei on Thursday.

Sheikh Ahmed praised the outgoing envoys for the advancement in bilateral relations between Brunei Darussalam and their countries.

Among the outgoing heads of diplomatic missions are Australian High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Nicola Rosenblum who presented her Letter of Credence to His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on October 25, 2016; British High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Richard Stephen Lindsay who presented his Letter of Credence to His Majesty on August 10, 2017; and Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Brunei Darussalam Peter Hermann Wolff who presented his Letter of Credence to His Majesty on August 10, 2017.

The outgoing heads of diplomatic missions extended their appreciation to His Majesty, members of the royal family, the Government of Brunei Darussalam and the Diplomatic Corps for the cooperation and support during their tenure in the sultanate.
