Brunei continued its streak of no new COVID-19 cases for 27 days straight yesterday, with the national tally of cases remaining at 141.

No recovery case was recorded yesterday, and the public has been called on to pray for the full recovery of the remaining active COVID-19 patient in the country, who is in a critical condition.

Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar shared this at the daily press conference yesterday. “Alhamdulillah, with the grace of Allah the Almighty, there is no new COVID-19 case in the country. The total number of cases in Brunei Darussalam remains at 141, with the total number of recovery cases standing at 138.”

“There is only one case being treated at the National Isolation Centre (NIC). The patient is in a critical condition and requires a heart-lung machine (ECMO) and respiratory assistance. Let us together pray for the patient to be granted full recovery by Allah the Almighty.”

The minister said 261 samples had been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, bringing the total number of laboratory tests conducted since January 2020 to 19,885.

The public can visit the official Ministry of Health website at www.moh.gov.bn or contact the Health Advice Line at 148 or through the BruHealth app or healthinfo.gov.bn for information and updates.
