Penumbral lunar eclipse earlier today

A penumbral lunar eclipse was witnessed in Brunei’s skies early today from 1.45-5.04am. A live feed of the phenomenon was broadcast from the Mini Observatory Hall on the  Astronomical Society of Brunei Darussalam’s social media page. According to the Astronomical Society the full moon crossed the penumbral shadow of the Earth to cause only slightly dimming on the moon. The greatest or peak of the eclipse occurred at 3.24am, when 56 per cent of the moon was positioned deep into the penumbra. More details in Weekend’s Borneo Bulletin
