No new COVID-19 cases in Sultanate, zero recoveries

Brunei Darussalam continued its streak of no new COVID-19 cases yesterday keeping the national tally of cases at 141.

Meanwhile, no recovery of cases were recorded keeping the number of recovered cases at 138.

This was highlighted by Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar during a press conference at the Al-‘Afiah Hall yesterday.

The minister also said, “Only one case remains at the National Isolation Centre, where the case is still in a critical condition and requires heart/lung machine (ECMO) as well as respiratory assistance.”

In the past 24 hours, he revealed that 130 samples have been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, bringing the total number of laboratory tests conducted since January 2020 to 19,516.

In its breakdown of COVID-19 cases in the Sultanate, healthinfo.gov.bn revealed that there were 110 cases in the Brunei-Muara District, 25 in the Belait District and six in the Tutong District.
