No new COVID-19 case in Brunei for 31 days in a row

Brunei Darussalam has not recorded new COVID-19 case for 31 days in a row. This means the national tally of cases remains at 141.

Without any new recovery, the total recovered cases remains at 138 with one active case being treated at the National Isolation Centre. The patient is in a critical condition.

Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar provided the updates on COVID-19 at press conference yesterday.

The Minister of Health said, “Alhamdulillah, with the grace of Allah the Almighty, there is no new COVID-19 case in the country. Therefore, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Brunei Darussalam remains at 141 and the total number of cases that have recovered is 138.

“There is only one case being treated at the National Isolation Centre. The case is still in critical condition and requires heart-lung machine (ECMO) as well as respiratory assistance.”

In the past 24 hours, Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham said, “Five hundred and two samples have been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus. That brings the total number of laboratory tests conducted since January 2020 to 21,659.”

In its breakdown of COVID-19 cases in the country, healthinfo.gov.bn revealed that there were 110 cases in the Brunei-Muara District, 25 in the Belait District and six in the Tutong District.
