There is no need to be worried about food brought from outside, said Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar . “However, the MoH is still monitoring
the situation.”

The minister was replying to a question whether the government is concerned on the risk of infection regarding imported goods coming into the country such as vegetables, fish and the like during a press conference at the Al-‘Afiah Hall of the Ministry of Health (MoH) following reports of a new cluster of positive COVID-19 cases in Beijing.

The cluster is associated with a marketplace and it is still under investigation by China’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to determine how the transmission occurred there, so the MoH is actively monitoring the situation, the minister said.
