Indonesia reports 1,331 COVID-19 cases, 63 new deaths

JAKARTA (XINHUA) – The COVID-19 cases in Indonesia rose by 1,331 within one day to 42,762, with the death toll adding by 63 to 2,339, Health Ministry official Achmad Yurianto said at a press conference yesterday.

According to him, 555 more people have been discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 16,798.

No new positive cases were found in 10 of the country’s 34 provinces.

Yurianto called on the public to obey the health protocols to avoid more COVID-19 infections.
