The Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) will be offering a two year full time training programme in NTec in Welding (Oil and Gas Industry) for this July intake.
The programme is a joint collaboration between IBTE and the Manpower Industry Steering Committee (MISC) – Energy which will provide knowledge and skills in basic welding processes and techniques to be a qualified welder in the oil and gas industry.
The two-year programme will be run at IBTE Sultan Bolkiah Campus in Seria and comprise 18 months of institutional-based learning and training as well as six months of industrial attachment.
Citizens and permanent residents are eligible to apply for the programme.
Minimum entry requirements are two GCE ‘O’ Levels passes, or related qualification, including Mathematics Syllabus ‘D’ or IGCSE Mathematics and any English medium subject.
Shortlisted applicants will be subjected to a medical fitness test and interview as part of the admission and selection process.
The application for the programme opened yesterday and continues until June 22 at 4.30pm and applicants are required to register online via www.ibte.edu.bn/tvecas.
