Three firefighters from the Kuala Belait Fire Station rescued a kitten stuck in the engine bay of a car in Jalan Pretty, Kuala Belait on Saturday.

A resident in the area had called the Fire and Rescue Department (FRD) after finding a stray kitten wedged in her car’s engine compartment.

Led by ASO Rosli bin Sabli, the firefighters worked their way down to where the kitten was trapped and pulled it out safely.

The kitten had no injuries and has a new home, after being adopted by a sympathetic bystander.

For fire-related emergencies and animal rescues, the FRD can be reached at 995.
