The Ministry of Health (MoH) continued to receive donations from individuals and companies in Brunei Darussalam to help His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s Government to fight the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
Brunei LNG Sdn Bhd’s donation of BND44,827 worth of medical supplies was received by Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar at the MoH yesterday.
Brunei LNG Production Team Lead (Utilities) Muhammad Syazni bin Muhammad Hadi, Brunei LNG Process Panelman Ainool Zamree bin Haji Mohd Rhymee and Brunei LNG Production Team Lead (Terminal) Mohammad Azwandi bin Haji Julaihi handed over the donations which included 2,716 isolation gowns, 1,660 surgical gowns and 1,359 boxes of surgical gloves.
The contribution will better equip healthcare frontliners to fight the spread of the pandemic.
Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham presented a certificate of appreciation to Brunei LNG for the contributions.
Meanwhile, Bank Usahawan handed over a BND25,000 contribution, presented by Chairman of Syariah Board of Bank Usahawan Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Setia Raja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Suhaili bin Haji Mohiddin.
Additionally, the Brunei Darussalam Red Crescent Society donated 8,000 face masks, handed over by its Deputy President of Finance and Policy Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yussoff bin Pengiran Haji Bahar.
