The Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Mohammad Isham bin Hj Jaafar at the daily COVID-19 press briefing said that no new COVID-19 case in was recorded in Brunei today, maintaining the national tally at 141.
The total number of recovered patients remains at 138. Only one patient, who is still in critical condition remains under treatment at the National Isolation Centre (NIC) in Tutong.
At this time, 53 individuals are currently undergoing quarantine in accordance to the Infectious Diseases Act (Chapter 204) and a total of 2,770 individuals have completed their quarantine and are in good condition.
In the past 24 hours, a total of 245 samples have been tested for the SARS-CoV2 virus, that brings the total number of laboratory tests conducted since January 2020 to 25,078 tests.
The minister also informed that 279 individuals are currently undergoing mandatory self-isolation at monitoring centres provided by the government. They comprise of those who have recently arrived in the country after traveling abroad. To date, a total of 2,401 individuals have completed their mandatory self-isolation at these facilities.
The health minister also informed that a total of 381,751 individuals have registered as users to BruHealth application. In addition, a total of 8,587 businesses and premises have registered for the application.
