COVID-19 updates: No new case; 12 test positive for serology survey



The Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Mohammad Isham bin Hj Jaafar at the daily COVID-19 press briefing said that no new COVID-19 case in was recorded in Brunei today, maintaining the national tally at 141.

No active cases are being treated at the National Isolation Centre (NIC) in Tutong.

In the past 24 hours, a total of 312 samples have been tested for the SARS-CoV2 virus, that brings the total number of laboratory tests conducted since January 2020 to 28,707 tests.

Meanwhile, currently there are 406 individuals who are undergoing mandatory self-isolation at the monitoring centers provided by the government, who have just arrived in the country after traveling abroad. At present, a total of 2,691 individuals have completed their mandatory self-isolation at the monitoring centres.

The health minister also informed that a total of 402,582 individuals have registered to the BruHealth application. For companies and premises, a total of 10,788 have registered for the BruHealth application.

Meanwhile, the minister also informed that 12 out of 504 participants of the serology survey conducted at selected mosques nationwide have indicated that they may have contracted the virus, but swab tests done on the individuals and their family members have come back negative, indicating a non-active case. The minister added that there is no reason to be alarmed when serology tests are found positive.
