Brunei Darussalam continued to flatten the curve with no new COVID-19 case reported in the country for the 53rd day, keeping the tally of confirmed cases at 141.
The 409 individuals who recently arrived in the country after travelling abroad are undergoing mandatory isolation at monitoring centres provided by the government.
Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar revealed the COVID-19 developments during the daily press conference at the Ministry of Health yesterday.
The minister said, “Alhamdulillah with the grace of Allah the Almighty, there is no new COVID-19 case in the country. The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Brunei Darussalam remains at 141.”
Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham said 2,698 individuals completed their mandatory self-isolation at monitoring centres.
On testing, the minister said, “One hundred and twelve samples have been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the past 24 hours. This brings the number of laboratory tests conducted since January to 29,223.”
With regard to registration on the BruHealth application, Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham said, “Alhamdulillah, 405,034 individuals have registered to the application.
“For companies and premises, 10,879 have registered.”
On the PremiseScan application, 5,948 have downloaded the application which includes 4,262 business premises.
In its breakdown of COVID-19 cases in the country, healthinfo.gov.bn revealed that there were 110 cases in the Brunei-Muara District, 25 in the Belait District and six in the Tutong District.
