The Belait Police District Headquarters of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), the Traffic Control and Investigation Department (JSKLL), the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), and the Land Transport Department organised a series of roadblock operations across five locations in the Belait District yesterday.
The operations, comprised over 117 police officers from five police stations in the Belait District, were led by Traffic Investigation Officer at the Belait Police District DSP Alvin Goh.
Ten police warning notices, nine compound fines for expired driver’s licences and 42 compound fines for other infractions were reported. The NCB also recorded one case of drug use, under the Misuse of Drugs Act, Chapter 27, as well as one offence under the Customs and Excise Act for the possession of contraband.
The RBPF reminded the public to uphold road regulations and ensure the safety of others.
