Chung Hua Middle School, Kuala Belait (CHMS KB) recently held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the construction of its new Art Multi-Media Learning Hall, which will enable teachers and students to fully utilise information technology in teaching and learning.
The ceremony was attended by members of CHMS KB Board of Governors, which included Chairman Lau Shiew Yuen, Executive Chairman Tan Yong Kui, First Vice Chairman Yang Chow Min, Second Vice Chairman Francis Kwong Beng Hock, Supervisor Yap Sin Fah, and Deputy Supervisor Lee Yin Fah.
In a press statement, CHMS KB said it hoped to make advances in terms of improving the school infrastructure and facilities for a first-rate learning environment, in accordance with the goals of Brunei Vision 2035.
Following the event, another ceremony was held to welcome the new Principal of CHMS KB Dr Chong Kui Kian, who was appointed on May 1.
Given her 26-year experience in teaching and heading departments at government schools, CHMS KB expressed its privilege in having Dr Chong on board to strengthen the school leadership in supporting and motivating both teachers and students.
