Brunei to study Malaysia’s ‘green lane’ proposal on border re-opening

Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar said that Brunei Darussalam has set up a committee to discuss the ‘green bubble’ or ‘green lane’ countries method and how it will be managed. The minister responded to a question on a recent statement made by Malaysian Health Director-General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham bin Abdullah that several factors must be considered before Malaysia decides to ease border restrictions, such as using the ‘green bubble’ or ‘green lane’ countries method to allow cross-border travel.  More details in Friday’s Borneo Bulletin
