Brunei extends zero-case streak

All individuals who recently returned from the United Kingdom (UK) have tested negative for COVID-19, extending the zero-new-case streak and keeping the national tally of confirmed cases at 141.

This was said by Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar during the daily press conference on COVID-19 yesterday.

He said, “There are no new cases of COVID-19 infection in the country. Therefore, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Brunei Darussalam remains at 141.”

He said currently, there are 409 individuals undergoing mandatory isolation at the monitoring centres, while 2,696 have successfully completed it.

Meanwhile, a total of 404 samples have been collected and tested for SARS-CoV-2 virus, bringing the total of laboratory tests conducted since January to 29,111.

Meanwhile, there were 110 cases in the Brunei-Muara District, 25 in the Belait District and six in the Tutong District.
