The Magistrate’s Court yesterday adjourned an assault case to June 25 as the prosecution awaits medical reports on the victim.
Mohammad Abdul Mutalip bin Minudin, 34, is alleged to have assaulted a 16-year-old boy by stabbing him twice in his stomach and twice in his left lower back using an electrician’s test pin instrument at a house in Kampong Kupang, Tutong at 5am on May 20.
The charge is an offence which includes the possibility of causing death. It carries a penalty of 15 years’ jail with whipping.
Magistrate Pengiran Shahyzul Khairuddin bin Pengiran Abdul Rahman presided over the case.
