34 pints collected on first day of Belait blood donation campaign

Following the successful blood donation campaigns held in the Brunei-Muara District and Tutong District, the Youth Volunteers (Sukarelawan Belia) is conducting a blood donation campaign in the Belait District.

It is conducted in collaboration with the Blood Donation Centre from the Department of Laboratory Services, Ministry of Health (MoH). The two-day campaign started yesterday.

Opened to those aged 18 and above, the donors will receive health check prior to the donation.

Assistant Chief Liaison Officer 1 (Belait District) of Youth Volunteers Haji Abdul Afiq bin Zainuddin said the campaign is the first project of its kind by the group.

Head of the Youth Volunteers Operation Centre Hajah Noor Monasaliena @ Suzie binti Haji Mohd Salleh was present on the first day to oversee the campaign.

Thirty-four pints were collected yesterday. The campaign continues today from 9am to noon at the Kuala Belait Youth Centre.
