In support of the World Environment Day and World Oceans Day, Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) launched the ‘RB Trek and Clean’ – a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative to promote environment conservation in partnership with Green Brunei and the Forestry Department.

More than 20 RB employees took part in the effort to clear trash at Berakas Beach yesterday.

Also participating in the event were representatives from McDonald’s Brunei and Green Brunei.

A total of 200 kilogrammes of trash consisting of plastic bottles, plastic bags, used food packaging and various kinds of waste were collected.

The ‘RB Trek and Clean’ initiative aims to raise awareness on environmental sustainability through clean-up activities at coastal areas, recreational parks, community areas and neighbourhood streets in Brunei.

Over the coming months, RB will continue to organise various green initiatives that support environmental protection in the country and educate the public on best practices to help conserve the environment.
