Some 35,980 congregants have registered to participate in the Friday prayers today, with preventive measures in place to curb the spread of COVID-19. This was revealed at a press conference yesterday.

Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar said the measures require the congregants to wear masks, bring their own (large-sized) prayer mats, avoid shaking hands and to leave the mosque immediately after the prayers.

He also advised BruHealth users to exercise care when choosing the answers for their own self-assessment.

“This is to avoid the submissions from being given an incorrect code. If a user gets the wrong code, the request for a new one will take a while to be processed. This will further prevent him from gaining access to any premises and places that require a code,” he said. Regarding the latest figures in the registration for the BruHealth app, Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham said, “Alhamdulillah, currently 233,737 individuals have registered as users for the application.

In addition to that, 3,825 businesses and premises have signed up.”
