Sweet treats for medical staff

First Secretaries of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office John Chang and Yu Shang recently visited Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital to present Taiwan-grown watermelon juice and homemade cakes to the frontline medical staff and healthcare workers in appreciation of their hard work and sacrifice during the COVID-19 situation in the country.

RIPAS Hospital Chief Nursing Officer Patricia Yap accepted the goodwill gesture extended by the representative office.

The First Secretary of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office said the COVID-19 pandemic has been extremely challenging and put significant pressure on healthcare systems across
the globe.

Healthcare workers continue to fight the virus to protect the public by risking their own lives, he added.
