Singapore PM conveys Hari Raya greetings

Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong conveyed Hari Raya Aidilfitri greetings on Sunday to leaders of the republic’s neighbours, including Brunei Darussalam, the Singapore Prime Minister’s Office said.

Lee Hsien Loong made telephone calls to His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Malaysian Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar and Indonesian President Joko Widodo.

The Prime Minister’s Office in a statement said Lee reaffirmed his friendship with the leaders, and his strong support for the close cooperation that exists between the states and peoples.

He looked forward to working with them to secure the health and well-being of the population during the COVID-19 pandemic, and resuming and expanding the wider areas of cooperation as the COVID-19 outbreak is brought under control, it said.
