Only three COVID-19 cases remain in Sultanate

Only three active cases of COVID-19 remain in the National Isolation Centre (NIC), after one made full recovery last Sunday.

The latest figures were revealed in a press statement from the Ministry of Health (MoH), which said, “Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah the Almighty, there are no new cases of COVID-19 infection in the country. Therefore, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Brunei Darussalam remains at 141.”

With no recovery from COVID-19 recorded yesterday, the total number of recovered cases remains at 137.

Of the three active cases at the NIC, two are still in critical condition, with one requiring a heart-lung machine (ECMO) and respiratory assistance, and the other requiring only respiratory assistance.

The remaining one case is in a stable condition. In the past 24 hours, 55 samples were tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, bringing the total number of laboratory tests conducted since January 2020 to 18,589.

In its breakdown of COVID- 19 cases in the country, healthinfo.gov.bn revealed that there were 110 in the Brunei-Muara District, 25 in the Belait District and six in the Tutong District.
