With one COVID-19 patient making complete recovery and no new case being reported yesterday, the total number of active cases receiving treatment at the National Isolation Centre (NIC) stands at four.
This was stated by Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar at the daily press conference at the Ministry of Health (MoH) yesterday.
“Alhamdulillah with the grace of Allah the Almighty, there is no new COVID-19 case in the country. The total number of COVID-19 cases in Brunei Darussalam remains at 141,” he said.
“One case has recovered and the total number of cases recovered is 136. This brings the number of active cases being treated at the NIC to four where two are still in critical condition. Only one requires heart-lung machine (ECMO) as well as respiratory assistance while one case only requires respiratory assistance. Meanwhile, the rest are in a stable condition,” Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham said.
“One hundred and one individuals are undergoing quarantine in accordance to the Infectious Diseases Act (Chapter 204) and 2,578 individuals have completed their quarantine,” the minister said.
During the past 24 hours, 187 samples have been tested for SARS-CoV-2 virus bringing the total number of laboratory tests conducted since January 2020 to 16,892.
In its breakdown of COVID- 19 cases in the country, healthinfo.gov.bn revealed that there were 110 cases in the Brunei-Muara District, 25 in the Belait District and six in the Tutong District.
