MoHA receives donation for stall operators

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) yesterday received 2,000 face shields, face masks and wet tissues from Syarikat Aewon Garment and Embroidery for vendors at markets under the Municipal Departments and District Offices in a bid to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the country.

Permanent Secretary (Municipal and District) at the MoHA Salminan bin Haji Burut received the donation from Syarikat Aewon Garment and Embroidery Managing Director Lau Chai Seng at the MoHA building in the capital.

Also in attendance were Deputy Permanent Secretary (Municipal and District) at the MoHA Abdul Walid bin Haji Matassan and Aewon Sherwood Protective Apparel (B) Sdn Bhd General Manager Justine Hong as well as officers from the ministry and Syarikat Aewon Garment and Embroidery.

The contribution of personal protective equipment (PPE) was aimed at safeguarding stall operators at marketplaces against the coronavirus, according to Syarikat Aewon Garment and Embroidery.
