Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar yesterday reminded the public to practise physical distancing while in restaurants, supermarkets, markets and grocery stores.

The minister said, “The Ministry of Health (MoH) would like to once again emphasise and remind the public to continue to carry out their social responsibilities and to apply preventive measures especially when making purchases in restaurants, supermarkets, markets and grocery stores.”

He continued, “It is especially important to always practise physical distancing and not to visit one location in large crowds. In addition, business and restaurant owners are also advised to take precautionary measures to avoid overcrowding or mass gathering at or around the premises.

He stressed, “We still need public cooperation to remain vigilant. This is important because with the cooperation of all parties as well as discipline from the public we can begin to reduce the restrictions or start de-escalation at a time to be determined later.”
