Minister receives donations for COVID-19 fight

Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar received cash and mask donations at a ceremony at the guest room of the Ministry of Health (MoH) yesterday.

The donations are part of the donors’ corporate social responsibility in aiding the Government of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, particularly MoH to fight the spread of COVID-19 in the Sultanate.

Malaysian Citizens Association (PWM) President James Lee presented BND10,000 to the minister.

The China-ASEAN Technology Transfer Centre, Nanning, Guangxi, China meanwhile donated 500 pieces of mask, handed over by President of National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Brunei Darussalam Haji Mohammad Hanafi bin Pehin Orang Kaya Digadong Seri Diraja Dato Laila Utama Haji Abdul Rahman.
