Local detained for immoral activity

An unemployed local woman was detained by police personnel of the Anti-Vice and Gambling Suppression Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department yesterday for allegedly being involved in the immoral activity of offering sex service.

The raid took place at noon in a room at a rented house in Kampong Serusop. The police personnel found evidence supporting the investigation.

The case was revealed by ASP Hajah Roszaffina @ Hajah Anis binti Haji Ahmad/Md Ariffin of the Criminal Investigation Department.

The suspect, 35, frequently rented rooms to allegedly carry out immoral activities.

The suspect was brought to the Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation. The case is investigated under Section 294A of Penal Code Chapter 22 for the offence of offering sex service.

The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) is taking the matter seriously and reminded owners of rented houses and rented accommodations to ensure their tenants are not involved in any immoral activities.

The RBPF urged the public to cooperate and provide information on illegal activities.
