The Britain Brunei Business Forum (BBBF) brought smiles to the children of YASKA (Children’s Cancer Foundation) as they handed over Ramadhan gifts consisting of Lego, books and toys to the children last Saturday.
YASKA Vice Chairperson and Occupational Therapist at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital’s Paediatric Oncology Ward Tsara’ Nawwarah binti Abdullah Chen received the donations on the children’s behalf.
The gifts came along with personalised cards made specially by the children of the committee of the BBBF for the YASKA children enclosing messages of support and Ramadhan greetings.
BBBF Chairperson Yvonne Kuan noted that Ramadhan is a time for gifting and remembering children who are going through tough times.
“We are delighted to bring some joy to these brave children and to let them know that we are with them as they fight their battles,” she said.
YASKA is a non-governmental organisation providing information and support for children diagnosed with cancer and their families.
BBBF was founded under the patronage of the British High Commission in Brunei Darussalam to enable British and Bruneian business people to boost trade.
