The Student Affairs Office, Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) Student Representative Council 2020/2021 (MPPUTB) and EXCO Community Service and Project of UTB organised a Ramadhan Drive 3.0 charity event.
The drive was supported by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports; and Youth Volunteers.
The delegation was led by UTB Dean of Student Affairs Dayangku Ida Nurul-Fitri binti Pengiran Haji Kahar along with staff and students of the university.
The donations were delivered to 12 underprivileged families, mainly senior citizens, from May 16-19.
BND3,139.01 and items including daily necessities, cleaning supplies and toiletries were received from staff and students of the university.
The university also initiated a special fund to help its students during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was initiated to help students facing financial challenges with online learning since its inception on March 16.
BND3,705 was collected and given to 94 students.
