Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin said response for the food truck service at the stadium car park area has been overwhelming with some 15 food trucks.

“At the stadium, we are putting food trucks and based on the feedback from vendors, business has been impressive and positive.

“There is a good market for food trucks. It is a very good start for a different atmosphere. It is an extension from what we have seen in restaurants,” the minister said yesterday.

“Social distancing and limiting the number of people have been implemented at the Tamu and other markets. The same measures are taken with the reopening of restaurants, cafes and food courts with same process and procedures.”

On the reopening of several public and commercial areas, like driving schools, gyms and fitness centres, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, golf courses, restaurants, stalls, food courts and markets, effective tomorrow will lead to the extension of opening hours of Temburong bridge especially with the upcoming Hari Raya festivities, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah said visiting in big groups is still not allowed.

“The installation of CCTV along Temburong bridge has been delayed but scheduled to be completed this month. We are considering the situation of extension once CCTV installation is completed. Minor works are also being carried out at the bridge,” the minister said.
