Eight schools receive donations

Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam (AMBD) handed over AMBD Care Packages to several schools in Brunei Darussalam recently as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

AMBD Care Packages comprising printers, ink cartridges and printing papers are contributions from AMBD officers and staff in support of the Ministry of Education’s (MoE) efforts to ensure continuity in the students’ education during these uncertain times caused by the COVID-19 outbreak through home-based learning.

Sixteen packages were delivered to eight primary and secondary schools across the four districts on Monday and yesterday – Haji Mohd Jaafar Maun Primary School, Lambak Kiri Secondary School, Batang Mitus Primary School, Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Secondary School, Kuala Belait Primary School, Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah Secondary School, Semabat Primary School and Labu Estate Primary School.

The packages were handed over to the schools by AMBD Managing Director Hajah Rokiah binti Haji Badar; Deputy Managing Director (Regulatory and Supervision) Hajah Rashidah binti Haji Sabtu; Deputy Managing Director (Monetary Operations/ Development and International) Hajah Noorrafidah binti Haji Sulaiman; Acting Assistant Managing Director (Monetary Operations) Mardini bin Haji Eddie; and Acting Assistant Managing Director (Corporate Services) Hajah Sufinah binti Haji Sahat.
