The Ministry of Health (MoH) continued to receive donations as part of donors’ corporate social responsibility (CSR) in helping the Government of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and the MoH in curbing the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
During the event at Level 3 of the MoH building yesterday, Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar received a BND23,600 cheque from a group of retired officers of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) presented by Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Sanggamara Diraja Major General (Rtd) Pengiran Haji Ibnu Ba’asith bin Pengiran Datu Penghulu Pengiran Haji Apong.
Major General (Rtd) Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Dewa Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Mohammad bin Haji Daud, Colonel (Rtd) Dato Paduka Haji A Jumat bin Zakaria and Colonel (Rtd) Haji Zainal Ariffin bin Dato Haji Ahmad were also present.
Another donation was from International Women’s Club of Brunei Darussalam who contributed a BND5,000 cheque presented by President Ungku Datin Hajah Fanzah binti
Haji Osman. The event also saw the handing over BND10,000 from Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) which was presented by its Vice-Chancellor Datin Dr Hajah Anita Binurul Zahrina binti Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Wijaya Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Aziz. Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) contributed BND3,335 presented by its Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Hajah Zohrah binti Haji Sulaiman and Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) contributed BND3,051.50 presented by its Rector Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal.
