COVID-19 updates: No new case today

 

The Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Mohammad Isham Hj Jaafar at the daily COVID-19 press briefing said that no new COVID-19 case in was recorded in Brunei today, maintaining the national tally at 141.

The total number of recovered patients remains at 138. Only one patient, who is still in critical condition remains under treatment  at the National Isolation Centre (NIC) in Tutong.

In the past 24 hours, a total of 255 samples have been tested for the SARS-CoV2 virus, that brings the total number of laboratory tests conducted since January 2020 to 18,962 tests.

 


 

Adhere to Eid celebration guidelines: Minister

The health minister reiterated the need for the public to continue to practicing preventive measures, and to be vigilant wherever they are by practicing physical distancing, ensuring hand hygiene as well as practicing the correct cough and sneeze etiquette. “In celebrating this year’s Eid, the public is also reminded to abide by the Eid Aidilfitri Guideline that was released by the Ministry of Health such as to only celebrate Eid only with immediate family members and to abide by the mass gathering guideline that is to limit to 20 -30 individuals at any one time according to the size of the home,” he said.
