The Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Mohammad Isham Hj Jaafar said nonew COVID-19 cases were recorded in Brunei today, maintaining the national tally at 141.
Meanwhile, he said no recovery was recorded today, maintaining the total number of recovered patients to 137. There are currently 3 activecases being treated at the National Isolation Centre (NIC) in Tutong.
Two patients remain in critical condition, where both require heart / lung machine (ECMO) as well as respiratory assistance.
Since the emergence of COVID-19 in early January 2020, a total of 18,620 laboratory tests for COVID-19 have been conducted.
Over 216,000 on BruHealth App
The Minister of Health said that a total of 216,044 individuals have registered as users to the BruHealth mobile application. In addition, he said a total of 3,483 businesses and premises have registered for the application.
Retail outlets urged to control crowd numbers
The Minister of Health said that a number of complaints have been received from the public on the large number of customers and their uncontrolled entries inside retail outlets. “In relation to this, the Ministry of Health would like to again remind retail shop owners to always control the entry of their customers into their shops, especially retail outlets with a small space. It is also advisable to limit the number of customers entering as well conducting body temperature checks and providing hand sanitisers to every customer that enter the retail shops,” he said.
