COVID-19 updates: 4 cases remain at NIC

The Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Mohammad Isham Hj Jaafar said no new COVID-19 cases were recorded in Brunei today, maintaining the national tally at 141.

Meanwhile, 1 new recovery was recorded today, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 136. There are currently 4 active cases being treated at the National Isolation Centre (NIC) in Tutong.

  • Two patients remain in critical condition, where only one of them still requires heart / lung machine (ECMO) as well as respiratory assistance, and one case only requires respiratory assistance. Meanwhile, the rest are in a stable condition.
  • As of today, 101 individuals are undergoing quarantine according to the Infectious Diseases Act (Chapter 204) and a total of 2,578 have completed the quarantine period and are in good health.
  • Since the emergence of COVID-19 in early January 2020, a total of 16,892 laboratory tests for COVID-19 have been conducted.

Over 80,000 registered for BruHealth app
The health minister shared that a total of 84,524 individuals have registered as users to Bruhealth application since its launch on the Apple and Google playstore. In addition, a total of 1,317 businesses and premises have registered for the application.
The BruHealth app is used for the purpose of exit and entry to premises that have been given flexibility such as restaurants, café, food stall, golf courses, sports facilities and others; as well as for other premises that will be announced in the future such as mosques.
The minister urged those who have not registered to download and register to the Bruhealth App.
