COVID-19: No new case, one active case remaining

Brunei Darussalam did not record any new COVID-19 case yesterday with the tally in the country remaining at 141.

Only one active COVID-19 patient remains at the National Isolation Centre.

These details were highlighted by Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar at the daily press conference yesterday.

“Alhamdulillah, with the grace of Allah the Almighty there is no new COVID-19 case in the country. The total number of COVID-19 cases in Brunei Darussalam remains at 141,” he said.

The minister said there was no recovery case yesterday. The total number of recovered cases stands at 138.

“Only one case is still being treated at the National Isolation Centre. The patient is in critical condition and requires heart-lung machine (ECMO) as well as respiratory assistance,” Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham said.

He said in the past 24 hours, 168 samples have been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus bringing the number of laboratory tests conducted since January to 19,130.

In its breakdown of COVID-19 cases in the country, healthinfo.gov.bn revealed that there were 110 cases in the Brunei-Muara District, 25 in the Belait District and six in the
Tutong District.
