Charity during the holy month of Ramadhan reaps multiple benefits and rewards, which attracts droves of individuals coming forward to lend a helping hand to the underprivileged, especially orphans and the needy.
Jerudong Primary School alumni, from the 1980-1987 intake, dubbed the ‘Old Skols 80s’, were among the charitable groups.
Established early this year, the 20-member group aims to forge strong ties in the community.
After receiving support from Acting Village Head of Kampong Jerudong ‘B’ Kamis bin Panjang, Syarikat AMJ and other concerned individuals, members of the Old Skols 80s collected donated items which included basic necessities and handed them to the acting village head at his residence yesterday.
The items will be redistributed to 20 residents in Jerudong, including former students of Jerudong Primary School and orphans.
