The Ministry of Education (MoE) received more laptop and pendrives for a donation drive jointly initiated by the MoE, Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC) and Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI).
Minister of Education Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sulaiman received the contributions to support online learning and provide assistance to students in need.
Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (YSHHB) contributed 100 laptop and 100 pendrives during the ceremony at the MoE Headquarters yesterday.
Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud presented the contribution as a YSHHB Board of Directors member and Chairman of the YSHHB Aid Review Committee.
Deputy ministers also contributed towards 100 laptops, which were jointly presented by Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economy) Dato Seri Paduka Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, Deputy Minister of Development Dato Seri Paduka Ar Awang Haji Marzuke bin Haji Mohsin and Deputy Minister of Education Datin Seri Paduka Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh.
Permanent Secretary (Planning, Land Use and Environment) at the Ministry of Development and Acting Managing Director of YSHHB Dr Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak, Permanent Secretary (Higher Education) at the MoE Dr Haji Azman bin Haji Ahmad, Permanent Secretary (Core Education) at the MoE Dr Shamsiah Zuraini Kanchanawati binti Haji Tajuddin, Permanent Secretary at the MTIC Haji Mohammad Nazri bin Haji Mohammad Yusof, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Higher Education) at the MoE Dr Chin Wei Keh, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Infocommunications, Cybersecurity, Strategy And Corporate) at the MTIC Haji Hairul Mohd Daud bin Haji Abdul Karim, AITI Acting Chief Executive Haji Jailani bin Haji Buntar, senior YSHHB members, Acting Director-General of Education Hajah Anis Faudzulani binti Haji Dzulkiflee and heads of department at the MoE attended the event.
The donation drive to collect ICT devices will be open until May 14. Donations can be dropped off either at Block A, Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) Sultan Saiful Rijal Campus in Jalan Muara or IBTE Jefri Bolkiah Campus in Kuala Belait on Mondays to Thursdays and Saturdays from 8.30am to 1.30pm.
