Two vehicles issued fines at roadblock

With the public marking the first day of Ramadhan on Saturday, Sungai Liang Police Station personnel of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) conducted a road block to catch traffic violators.

The roadblock near Zainab Mosque in Kampong Lumut was led by Assistant Officer-in-Charge of Sungai Liang Police Station Inspector Mohd Nazmi bin Haji Ismail and eight police personnel.

Fourteen vehicles were checked and two were issued with compound fines for expired road tax and unsuitable vehicle used for other purposes.

The RBPF reminded the public to not doze off when driving and always examine the vehicle to ensure it is safe. Drivers were also urged to be considerate while on the road ensuring safety of other road users.
