Snake found under car engine

A two-metre-long snake trapped under the engine of a car belonging to the Immigration and National Registration Department (INRD) was found at the department’s compound yesterday. Five female fire and rescue personnel led by ASO Hajah Habyah binti Haji Ya’akub and one fire truck were dispatched to the scene to retrieve the reptile using a snake catcher.

The public is urged to report immediately to the Fire and Rescue Department (FRD) if they see or find wild animals roaming around their house compound or premises.

The public is advised not to attempt to approach or threaten the wild animal and contact the FRD via hotline 995 in case of emergency.
