Several gunny bags containing postal items and parcels from a neighbouring country allegedly brought to the country illegally in boats were seized by Marine Police personnel of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) in the waterways of Brunei Darussalam yesterday.

The drivers of the boats, Mohd Yusran bin Mohd Yusra, 21, Mohd Afif bin Ramli, 19, and Matahir bin Haji Hidup, 31, all locals were detained.

Royal Customs and Excise Department is investigating the case under Section 140 of Customs Order 2006 which is smuggling items without a declaration.
