Indonesia reports 283 new COVID-19 cases

JAKARTA (XINHUA) – Indonesia has reported 283 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total to 7,418, the government’s spokesperson for the COVID-19-related matters Achmad Yurianto said at a press conference yesterday afternoon.

A total of 635 deaths have now been recorded in the country, increased by 19 within the past 24 hours. As many as 913 patients are considered to have recovered, including the recoveries of 71 more people reported yesterday, according to data provided by Yurianto, who is a Health Ministry official.

He said that the latest number of suspected COVID-19 cases in the country is 17,754.
