Textile empire Firoz Jaya Silkhouse & Textile Palace has grown from one humble branch, which opened in 2003, to seven branches.
The company is now recognised as one of the leading textile stores in Brunei.
Managing Director of Firoz Jaya Silkhouse & Textile Palace Firoz Khan, in an interview with the Weekend Bulletin, said that he came to Brunei 27 years ago (in 1993) dreaming of building a brighter future. “I started a small textile business which I expanded to wholesale, and in 2003 I opened up Firoz Jaya Silkhouse Sdn Bhd,” he said.
Firoz Jaya Silkhouse & Textile Palace offers high quality fashionable fabric at very reasonable prices for local and international customers. Their products for men include cara melayu, suits, Firoz cotton fabric, royal cotton fabric, sinjang and songkok. Meanwhile, for women they offer bridal lace, baju kurung, scarves, abaya, jubah, pure silk fabric, batik Terengganu, and washable fabrics such as Armani Digital, Toyobo Printed, French Crepe and others.
“Our products are of high standard and are long lasting. We believe we are providing the variety of fabrics that meets the market. Alhamdulillah,” he added.
Firoz Khan also took the opportunity to congratulate all Muslims on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadhan and praised the Brunei Government on its fight against COVID-19.
“COVID-19 has affected the global economy but I believe and pray that Insya Allah we will prevail against it. I would like to praise the Government of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and the frontliners who are working very hard to protect all of us. My best wishes for all of them,” he said.
Firoz Jaya Silkhouse announced that they are having a sale, which started yesterday, and offers amazing discounts up to 70 per cent for their products.
Firoz Khan hopes the sale will help bring some cheer to loyal clients during the COVID-19 situation.
