Face masks, scrubs, cash donated for COVID-19 battle

Local companies and individuals continued to make donations to support His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s Government, particularly the Ministry of Health (MoH), in curbing the spread of COVID-19 in the country.

Acting Chief Executive Officer (Special Grade) of Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital Haji Abdul Khalid As’ari bin Haji Azahari received the contributions during a ceremony yesterday.

Le Voeu Events Company donated 7,500 face masks to the MoH and 5,000 face masks to the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS). Le Voeu Events Company representative Jade Liew handed over the donation.

The MoH received a BND5,000 donation from the Brunei Darussalam Scout Association (PPNBD), represented by its President Haji Matusin bin Orang Kaya Sura Haji Tuba, Vice President Pengiran Abdul Wahab bin Pengiran Hassan, Secretary General Haji Abdul Malik bin Haji Mohammad and Chief Commissioner Haji Awang Badar bin Haji Awang Ali.

Meanwhile, the Brunei Malay Teachers Association (PGGMB) handed over a BND2,020 donation, presented by its Secretary General Haji Abdul Alim bin Haji Othman.

A total of 814 scrub suits were donated by Yuni-Ku Auto Sdn Bhd, The Potato Habit, Syarikat Perniagaan Malar Setia, Perusahaan Ala Haji Bolhassan, Jigsaw Primary School, Amann Shipping & Trading Co, Zhou Yi Trading, Jigsaw Play School and several individuals. The contribution was handed over by Syarikat Perniagaan Malar Setia Sales Director Eric Lim Chee Fui.
